spoiler free review: sleeping giants

“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” 

Sleeping giants tells the story of how all over the world pieces of what seems to be a giant robot are appearing. now a special team of scientists and army people has been established to built this robot and find out what it can do. but this isn't as easy as it seems and what if they built it and it will destroy the world?

the writing style of this book is very unique, since it is written like a big interview, with little log book entries throughout. this style was actually very nice to read and not as annoying as I though it would be. the story line is very nice, it has a lot of steampunky elements but is still quit contemporary, which I really enjoyed. I don't think I've ever read a book with a story anything similar to this and that seems to be quit hard nowadays. the characters are very well thought out and develop throughout the story which makes it even better. I would definitely recommend you read this book, even if it's just to try a new type of writing, but the story line was definitely a lot of fun too!
